Our Team
 Established by co-owners, James W. Moilanen and Yung T. Mullick, The Bond Exchange & Insurance Agency has over 40 years of combined experience in both the underwriting and agency/brokerage aspects of the surety bond industry.
James Moilanen, President of The Bond Exchange and Insurance Agency, is a graduate of Western Michigan University, with a degree in Business Administration. He began his career in the surety bond industry in 1987 joining Cigna Bond Services domiciled in Philadelphia. After six years of employment in the contract underwriting arena, he left his position as the Domestic & International Master Underwriter for CIGNA to join the agency/brokerage side of the business. In 1993, James accepted a position as Vice President with Willis Corroon in Irvine, California. After 6 years of experience as a surety bond agent, James joined Yung Mullick in the creation of The Bond Exchange and Insurance Agency.
Chief Executive Officer of The Bond Exchange, Yung T. Mullick, graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with degrees in both Economics and Mathematics. Upon graduation from UC Santa Barbara in 1985, Yung began his career in the surety bond industry as a contract underwriter with Ohio Casualty. He was promoted to a Senior Bond Underwriter with Fireman’s Fund and exited the underwriting arena as the Bond Manager for Ulico Casualty to pursue the agency/brokerage side of the surety bond industry as the co-owner of The Bond Exchange.
Senior Account Manager and Office Manager, Jennifer Giboney, graduated from California Polytechnic University, Pomona with a degree is Business Administration, with an emphasis in marketing. Jennifer began her career in the surety industry with the Insco Dico Group as their Marketing Manager. After being approached by Yung and James, Jennifer left her position at Insco Dico and became the first employee of The Bond Exchange. She has been with the company since its founding and has played a vital role in the company’s success over the last ten years.
Commercial Bond Specialist, Christine Hoang, graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2008 with a degree in Finance. She began her career at The Bond Exchange as a summer intern and has since succeeded in managing the majority of the commercial business that is produced by The Bond Exchange. Christine is currently in the process of obtaining her Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding.
Account Executive, Austin Neff, graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2007 with degrees in Global Economics and Psychology. Austin began his career with The Bond Exchange at the beginning of 2008 as an administrative assistant and has since progressed to managing a portion of the company’s contract accounts. Austin is also in the process of obtaining his Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding.
Marketing Representative, Daren Eiseman, graduated from the University of Michigan in 2009 with a degree in General Studies. Daren began his career with The Bond Exchange in late 2009 and has focused his efforts on marketing. Daren is also in the process of obtaining his Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding.
The Bond Exchange brings a wealth of knowledge of the construction industry as well as broad understanding of the dynamic aspects of the surety bond business.
